A Misty Morning at Mirogoj Cemetery, Zagreb

Mirogoj Cemetery in Zagreb is quite pretty, and the morning I went there was a thick mist hanging heavily over the city as well as the cemetery, giving it an eerie, otherworldly feel.

  1. Cemeteries have that eerie feel to them, but are also ‘otherwordly’ as you describe – moreso, with the fog. You shot it so well and to be honest, I haven’t seen so many flowers at a cemetry before. One of your photos is full of colour! The birch trees is my favourite picture.

    • Yes, they have a lot of flowers! 95% of them are fake flowers though so they last a bit longer than real ones. They’re also big on candles – little red ad purple pretty plastic jars with sometimes real candles but often little electric lights in them. Glad you like the photos!

  2. The black and grey avenue of trees—
the avenue of birches, that misty stark light, the angel against the sky——you have excelled yourself— —-until the next—Ro x

I'm curious about your thoughts!
